Kharkiv again found itself under powerful explosions, the alarm lasted 17 hours
Yesterday evening, May 16, Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region were again subjected to a massive attack. According to preliminary data, the city and region were attacked by Shahed kamikaze drones. Residents reported more than 7 explosions and the air alert lasted a record 17 hours.

Mayor Ihor Terekhov confirmed several explosions in the city, starting at 11:23 p.m.
Oleg Sinegubov, head of Kharkiv OVA reported about a hit in the Kholodnohirsky district, which caused a fire. Subsequently, Mayor Terekhov announced another airstrike in the Osnovyansk district, warning of a continuation of the attack.
By midnight, at least five drone strikes were recorded, and later the Russians switched to missile strikes. Monitoring channels reported the possible use of ballistic missiles.
As of 00:19, a hit was confirmed in the Osnovyansk and Novobavarsky districts. Currently, there is no information about the victims.
It is noted that since 8:15 a.m. on May 16, an air raid alarm has been sounding continuously in the Kharkiv region.
