Active development of land auctions continues in Ukraine, which enables the state to receive significant income from subleasing agricultural land. During the week, from February 24 to 28, 18 auctions for the sublease of state lands were held in the Prozorro.Sales system. The high demand for plots led to a significant increase in their value, which allowed the state budget to receive additional millions of hryvnias. About this informs press service of the Land Bank.
During the specified period, lots were presented at auctions in eight regions of Ukraine, namely:
- Vinnytsia,
- Kyivska,
- Zhytomyrska,
- Odesa,
- Mykolaivska,
- Kirovohradska,
- Ivano-Frankivsk,
- Khmelnytskyi
The total area of land plots put up for auction was 2,890 hectares. The competition among the participants was high – 79 participants fought for the lots, which shows the growing interest in state agricultural lands.
According to the results of the auctions, the total amount of concluded deals amounted to 45 million hryvnias, and taking into account the value added tax, the potential economic effect can be estimated at 54 million hryvnias.
Auctions showed a significant increase in prices per hectare. According to the results of the auctions, the average cost of subleasing one hectare amounted to 15,582 hryvnias, which is 4.5 times higher than the starting price. This confirms that interest in Ukrainian lands continues to grow, and competition among participants leads to an increase in the value of lots.
The lot in the Mykolaiv region attracted the most attention – a plot of land with an area of 1186.2 hectares. Five participants fought for this object, which significantly increased its final cost. The initial price of the lot gradually increased and eventually reached 16 million hryvnias. Thus, the final price of one hectare of this plot was 13.5 thousand hryvnias.
The increase in demand for land and the activity of participants was observed not only in February, but also earlier. So, in January, Prozorro.Prodazhi held one of the largest auctions for the sublease of agricultural land in the Kirovohrad region. The initial price of the lot was 13.6 million hryvnias, but during fierce bidding it increased to 75.4 million hryvnias. This has become a record figure since 2021.
