Law enforcement officers exposed a criminal group led by Hanna Skorokhod, a deputy from the “For the Future” party
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau, together with the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office and the Security Service of Ukraine, have exposed an organized criminal group led by a people’s deputy. This was reported by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.
According to media sources in law enforcement agencies, this is the people’s deputy from the “For the Future” party, Hanna Skorokhod. Searches are already underway at her apartment.
Law enforcement officers are currently conducting priority investigative actions to collect evidence and clarify all the circumstances of the case. The details of the investigation are promised to be made public later.
The parliamentarian herself confirmed the conduct of investigative actions and commented on the situation on Facebook:
“I have nothing to hide, my activities – are in the palm of my hand. However, the time and context of these events lead to unambiguous conclusions: I see this as direct pressure on the opposition and an attempt to block my political activities due to a principled position.
According to the “Chesno” movement, in 2019 Hanna Skorokhod was elected a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the 9th convocation from the “Servant of the People” party for electoral district No. 93 (Kyiv region) as a non-partisan. She is a member of the parliamentary committee on energy and housing and communal services.
In November 2019, Skorokhod accused the authorities of detaining her husband Oleksiy Alyakin because of her voting contrary to the faction’s position, linking it to opposition to the bill on opening the land market. At that time, the head of the “Servant of the People” faction David Arakhamia stated that the faction had nothing to do with this, and also accused Skorokhod of making proposals to deputies regarding “monetary material assistance”.
In December 2019, the parliamentarian was expelled from the “Servant of the People” faction. After that, she joined the “For the Future” deputy group.
