Law on tax increase submitted to Zelensky for signature

Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk signed the draft law on raising taxes, adopted by the Verkhovna Rada, and the document was handed over to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky for signature. This is evidenced by the information on the Council’s website regarding the draft law In No. 11416, which was handed over to the president on October 15.
People’s deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak noted, that the president’s signature is expected in the coming days, after which the law will be published and will come into force the very next day. This means that the increased taxes will start to apply, and part of the advance payments will already be subject to the new rates.
We will remind you that on October 10, the Verkhovna Rada adopted this draft law, the main point of which is to increase taxes on citizens’ incomes. In particular, the military tax on income, including wages, is increased from 1.5% to 5%.
In addition, a military levy will be imposed at the level of 10% of the minimum wage (about 800 hryvnias per month) for individual entrepreneurs who pay a single tax for groups I, II and IV. For payers of the uniform tax of group III, the fee will be 1% of income.
Other tax changes affect business, but they are not expected to significantly increase budget revenues.
