Man found hanged in district shopping centre in Poltava region

On October 21, the body of a man who probably committed suicide was found in one of the technical premises of the preliminary assembly point for conscripts. No traces of violence were found. The law enforcement officers promptly arrived at the scene and began investigative actions. About this reported in Poltava regional TCC and SP.

According to the TCC, the man was brought by the police to the collection point because he was wanted. He refused to pass the military medical commission, so a corresponding act of refusal was drawn up. Based on this fact, a report was prepared to the police about his committing a criminal offense under Article 336 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Earlier, last year, the man was already sentenced under this article to three years of imprisonment with release on probation, which ended in September of this year.

As noted in the message, neither physical nor psychological pressure was exerted on the man – he was waiting in the room for documents to be drawn up. In connection with this tragedy, law enforcement officers opened a criminal case, and an official investigation was launched to clarify all the circumstances.

Representatives of the TCC called on citizens to observe information hygiene and not to be exposed to unverified or manipulative messages while the investigation is ongoing.
