Meta announced that all videos on Facebook will be in reels format

Meta company announced about the new changes in the video content format on Facebook. In the coming months, all videos on the platform will be published exclusively in reel format – the ability to download videos in the usual format will be canceled. Meanwhile, streams will no longer have length or format restrictions, although they are currently limited to 90 seconds.
In the past, users used different tools to choose between different formats — video or video. Now Meta integrates them into a single publishing system, which will make the process more convenient. The company also noted that users will have more control over who can see their content.
“You’re still in control of who sees your streams, and you’ll have access to the same audience settings and controls as before, so you can share them with just your friends or a select group of people if you want. You can also publish the reel as public for more exposure, which will help you expand your views and audience.” — reported in Meta.
These changes will be rolled out to personal profiles and pages globally over several months. In addition, the company began warning users of its AI app against sharing personal or sensitive information after screenshots of users’ private conversations with the chatbot surfaced on social media and became available through an open feed.
