Mobilization and Human Resources Key to Ukraine’s Success: Biden Adviser Sullivan

Jake Sullivan, the US President’s national security adviser, said that one of the key reasons for Ukraine’s difficult situation at the front is mobilization problems. That’s what he’s about told in an interview with PBS News.
Asked whether the United States could have supported Ukraine otherwise, given that it is currently losing more territory than at any time this year, Sullivan noted that the United States has already provided Ukraine with tanks, HIMARS, Patriot systems, and gave permission for the transfer of F-16 fighters. However, according to him, there is no direct relationship between these types of weapons and the situation on the battlefield.
“Where is the most direct connection between Ukrainian achievements and contributions? It is through mobilization and human resources.” – emphasized the adviser.
Sullivan also stated that he does not believe that providing Ukraine with certain weapons systems at an earlier stage could significantly change the situation.
“Have we seen a marked difference on the battlefield since we provided tanks to Ukraine? Similarly, have we seen a marked difference in the use of F-16 fighter jets? We believe that no single weapon system is decisive in this battle. It is about human resources, and in our opinion, Ukraine needs to do more to strengthen its position in terms of the number of forces it has on the front line”, – emphasized Biden’s adviser.
