Monobank announced the launch of a new feature – shared cards

On October 3, the Ukrainian neobank monobank, which operates under the “Universal Bank” banking license, announced the launch of a new feature — shared cards. From now on, several users can use one account and make expenses from it without the need for transfers between cards.

After the update, a new feature appears under the main mono card — “Open access”. The user can choose a trusted person, set a monthly spending limit for them, and provide shared access to the funds in their account.

“To make everything both convenient and legal, a unique card with its own number is created for the access recipient. But the balance on it is shared with yours, explained monobank co-founder Oleg Gorokhovsky.

The developers note that the function was created primarily for families, partners, friends or colleagues who share a budget. It allows you to simplify financial interaction without the need for constant transfers or additional services.

The person who opens access has full control over the account – he sees all transactions made from joint funds, and can also change the limit or completely close access at any time. The second user who has received permission sees only his own expenses made from the joint card.

According to Gorokhovsky, monobank plans to further expand the functionality of the service, adding tools for convenient management of joint finances within the family or business.
