Night attack by the Russian Federation in the Kyiv region: a woman died, a child was among the wounded
On the night of Sunday, May 18, 2025, Russian troops launched an attack on Kyiv using attack drones. One of the downed enemy drones fell in the Holosiiv district of the capital — the fall of debris was recorded. As a result of falling debris, the roof of one of the non-residential buildings was damaged. No injuries or fires were recorded. Relevant services and specialists are working at the scene of the incident.
In addition, on the night of May 18, a 28-year-old woman died as a result of another strike by Russian drones in the Kyiv region. About this reported Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.
The tragedy happened in Obukhiv district. In addition to the deceased, three more people were injured as a result of the attack – a 59-year-old man, a 61-year-old woman and a 4-year-old child. The injured were hospitalized, doctors are providing them with all necessary assistance. Doctors assess the condition of the three victims as moderate.
A private house was partially destroyed during the strike. In the nearby apartment building, the blast wave blew out the windows.
In addition, as a result of the attack, a fire broke out on the territory of the compound feed plant in the Fastiv district. All services remain at the scene.
Mykola Kalashnyk called on the residents of the region to stay in shelters and not leave safe places until the end of the air alert. More details about the impact of the attack will be announced later.
