MP Volodymyr Moroz passed away
People’s deputy of Ukraine Volodymyr Moroz, a member of the “Recovery of Ukraine” parliamentary group, died. He was 57 years old. About this reported press service of the Verkhovna Rada.
He headed the sub-committee on electric power and electricity transportation within the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy and Housing and Communal Services.
“The leadership of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, people’s deputies, employees of the Parliament Apparatus express their sincere condolences on the untimely death of Volodymyr Moroz, People’s Deputy of Ukraine of the 9th convocation”, – says the message.
Volodymyr Moroz was educated at the Kharkiv State Technical University of Construction and Architecture, as well as at the Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky State Pedagogical University named after Hryhoriy Skovoroda.
He began his career as a loader and electric welder at the Kurakhivskaya GRES. Later, he worked as the deputy director of supply at the “Donagroservice” ATZT in Kurakhiv, and also held the position of deputy mayor in charge of housing and public utilities in the Kurakhiv City Council.
In the past, he was the head of the Marin District State Administration from the OPZH party and headed the local branch of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc “Solidarity” party organization.
In 2020, he became one of the initiators of an appeal to the Constitutional Court regarding the constitutionality of certain provisions of the anti-corruption legislation, after which liability for unreliable declaration and electronic declaration itself was abolished. In 2022, after the prohibition of OPZZ, he joined the deputy group “Recovery of Ukraine”. He left two children – a son and a daughter.
