The government plans to get the IMF to abolish the VAT requirement for individual entrepreneurs, and the tax changes will be formalized in three draft laws
The government intends to convince the IMF to abandon the requirement to introduce VAT for individual entrepreneurs, and they decided not to submit the tax bill as a single document, but to divide it into three separate initiatives. This was reported by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
“So, the epic of tax increases continues. As you remember, yesterday we had to decide: will it still be one “one big beautiful bill” submitted by the Government as one law or will it be divided into several draft laws,” he wrote in Telegram.
According to Zheleznyak, as a result, a different decision was made: three separate draft laws will be submitted to parliament. This, as the deputy noted, was reported to him by government sources.
Separately, they plan to submit an initiative on digital platforms, which is called the “OLX tax”, separately – on a 5% military fee for individual entrepreneurs, and separately – on the abolition of benefits for parcels, since this requires amending the Customs Code.
“The introduction of VAT for individual entrepreneurs will not be submitted yet. They will try to convince the IMF to lift this requirement,” – the MP emphasized.
He also reported that they want to submit these bills in the coming days, and consider them on April 7-9:
“They want to submit these days and consider them on April 7-9. But, taking into account the 14 days for alternative bills, three separate votes will be needed for each law.”
This concerns the inclusion of documents in the agenda, the reduction of the deadlines for submitting alternative bills, which requires 226 votes, as well as the first reading.
“Therefore, it will be another fun week, where without resolving the political crisis, even the first question will not pass,” Zheleznyak summarized.
In addition, according to him, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Yulia Svyrydenko “gave “command all government officials to establish maximum communication with deputies.”
