NBU fines PrivatBank UAH 1.7 million for violations during monitoring
The National Bank of Ukraine imposed fines on two institutions for violating oversight requirements. State PrivatBank received a fine of UAH 1.7 million for violations related to the legislation on the operation of payment systems detected during planned on-site monitoring.
NBU press service informs, that the sanctions also affected Universal Data Center LLC, which was fined UAH 170,000 for late submission of reports on payment activity for June 2024.
The NBU indicates that both institutions must pay fines within five working days from the moment of receiving the relevant decision of the regulator.
These impact measures were adopted on the basis of the results of planned and on-site monitoring conducted within the framework of the payment infrastructure oversite function, and entered into force on October 21, 2024.
Previously, the NBU announced the imposition of fines on three banks and five non-banking financial institutions for violating the legislation in the field of financial monitoring. The amount of these fines ranged from UAH 1,700 to UAH 14 million.
