Near the meeting place of Starmer and Zelensky, a Russian drone was shot down

A Russian drone attacked Kyiv at a time when Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was holding talks with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Anti-aircraft defense was working in the immediate vicinity of their meeting place. About this informs Guardian.
The Mariinsky Palace, where Zelenskyi and Starmer planned to hold a joint press conference, was filled with loud noises during the attempts of Ukrainian air defense to shoot down a Russian drone. A drone could be heard over the palace. Whether it was managed to neutralize it is currently unknown.
As a result of the air alert in Kyiv, damage to houses and a car due to the fall of the wreckage of the drone was recorded in the Solomyansky and Dnipro districts. There are no casualties.
We will remind that on the night of January 16, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 55 attack drones of the “Shahed” type and simulator drones, launched from the directions of Millerovo, Orla, Bryansk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
