Negotiations between the US and Russian delegations regarding the peaceful settlement of the situation in Ukraine have started in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. About this informs Reuters agency.
The American side at the negotiations is represented by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, National Security Adviser to the US President Mike Waltz and Special Envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff. From Russia, the assistant to the president, Yuriy Ushakov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergey Lavrov, and the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Kirill Dmitriev, are participating.
Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud and Saudi Arabia’s National Security Adviser Musaid bin Muhammad al-Ayban also joined the negotiation process.
It will be recalled that earlier the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine will not participate in the negotiations between the Russian and American parties in Saudi Arabia.
