Night attack on Kharkiv region and Mykolaiv: houses destroyed, there are casualties
On the night of August 3, Russian troops attacked Kharkiv, as well as Chuguiev and Balaklia of the Kharkiv region. In addition, Mykolaiv was attacked. As a result of shelling, injuries among the civilian population and damage to residential infrastructure were recorded.
Mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Terekhov reported, that the “shaheda” hit a warehouse building near a residential building in the Shevchenkiv district of the city.
Oleg Synegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration reported, that explosions rang out in Chuguyev and Balaklia. In Chuguyev, in one of the micro-districts where private buildings predominate, houses were damaged – windows were broken, roofs were destroyed. The mayor of the city, Galina Minayeva, said that three women had stress reactions, and doctors provided them with help. Emergency services are on site.
As reported by the head of the local military administration, Vitaly Karabanov, in Balaklia, an enemy drone hit a private house. There is an injured resident.
Also, on the evening of August 2, at 10:01 p.m., Mykolaiv came under enemy fire. By information the head of the regional military administration, Vitaly Kim, as a result of the attack, three private houses were destroyed, and fires broke out. Another 23 private homes, 12 high-rise buildings, six cars, a post office and a building materials store were damaged.
Seven people were injured: four of them received help on the spot. As of this morning, two men – 57 and 74 years old – remain in the hospital, their condition is assessed as moderate. Another victim, a 32-year-old man, was treated on an outpatient basis.
The mayor of the city, Oleksandr Sienkovych, noted that both private homes and apartment buildings were damaged. Part of the region remained without electricity.
