Lubinets invited the new director of USAID to join the Advisory Council

The ombudsman said that during the meeting the parties discussed issues of partnership and strengthening of institutional capacity.

Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets held a meeting with Morten Enberg, the new head of the USAID RADA: Next Generation Program, inviting him to join the Advisory Council under the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights. This is what he is about reported in your Telegram channel.

“I had the opportunity to meet the new director of the USAID program “RADA: Next Generation”, Morten Enberg, and diplomat Andriy Shevchenko. He shared information about the work of our institution and the problems faced by our citizens in the field of human rights due to Russian aggression against Ukraine.”Lubinets noted.

According to the ombudsman, during the meeting the parties discussed issues of partnership and strengthening of institutional capacity.

“Mr. Enberg drew attention to the importance of work on improving legislation in accordance with European standards and expressed his desire to contribute to the improvement of human rights protection in Ukraine. In this regard, I invited him to join the Advisory Council under the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights”Lubinets emphasized.
