Nova Poshta launches second solar power plant

“Nova Poshta” commissioned a second solar power plant at one of its terminals in Kyiv. About this reported the press service of the company.

“The company’s second SES of 700 KW appeared at another terminal in Kyiv. The area of ​​the panels is 3,000 square meters, and the project cost is 13.5 million hryvnias.” – the message says.

In addition, “Nova Poshta” plans to implement the next stage of installation of solar power plants, which will allow to increase the capacity twice – from 700 to 1,400 KW. According to the company, in the summer the stations will operate at full capacity and will provide 100% of the terminals’ electricity needs during the day.

“Nova Poshta” also invested in electrical energy storage facilities (EES), which will allow storing energy and using it for the company’s needs or even transferring it to the external network if necessary.

In general, the company plans to install power plants and UZE at five of the largest terminals in Ukraine, and the process has already started at three of them. In recent years, “Nova poshta” has invested 300 million hryvnias in the development of energy autonomy and intends to invest another 150 million hryvnias this year.

We will remind that at the beginning of 2025, “Nova Poshta” launched a solar power plant with a capacity of 1 MW on the roof of its Kyiv Innovation Terminal, having invested 14 million hryvnias in the project.
