Oleksandr Usyk will play the legendary MMA fighter Ihor Vovchanchyn in a Hollywood film
Oleksandr Usyk, the Ukrainian boxer, absolute world champion in the heavyweight division, will add a new title to his track record – Hollywood actor. He will star in The Smashing Machine, directed by Benny Safdie, about testifies information on IMBD.
The film will tell about the career of former UFC star Mark Kerr, whose role will be played by famous actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The tape will show two fights between Kerr and Vovchanchyn. In the first fight, the Ukrainian won by knockout, but the result was annulled. In the second match, which took place a year later, Vovchanchyn won by decision of the judges.
In addition to Usyk and Johnson, such well-known actors as Emily Blunt, Lindsey Gavin, Ryan Bader and Zoya Kosovich will appear in the film. The film was directed and written by Ben Safdie. The premiere of the film is scheduled for 2025.
This is not the first time Oleksandr Usyk surprises his fans. He recently won all the belts in the heavyweight division, defeating Tyson Fury by split decision.
