On the night of January 5, Russia attacked Ukraine with hundreds of drones and ballistic missiles

On the night of January 5, Russia carried out a large-scale combined attack on the territory of Ukraine, using hundreds of attack drones and up to ten missiles. Kyiv and the region, as well as Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions, came under fire.

During the air attack, the enemy tried to hit military-industrial complex, energy and oil and gas infrastructure facilities. The monitors assessed the scale of the forces used, noting that approximately 250-300 UAVs, up to 10 ballistic missiles and approximately four Geran-3 jet UAVs were used.

The most intense strikes that night were inflicted on Chernihiv and the Chernihiv region, Kyiv and the Kyiv region, in particular Vyshhorod, as well as the Kharkiv region.
