OpenAI has announced changes to its ChatGPT usage policy, which will take effect in December of this year. As the company’s CEO Sam Altman noted, the service will allow adult users to create erotic scenarios using a chatbot.
“In December, when we fully implement age restrictions and as part of our principle of “treating adults like adults”, we will allow even more, such as erotica for verified adult users”, — Sam Altman reported.
He explained that the company had previously limited ChatGPT’s capabilities due to concerns about the impact on users’ mental health.
“We made ChatGPT limited enough to proceed with caution in matters related to mental health. Now that we have managed to reduce the risks and have new tools, we can safely relax restrictions in most cases, Altman noted.
Recall that in September, OpenAI introduced a parental control system and an automatic age determination mechanism. According to Altman, these innovations allowed us to clearly divide users by age and create conditions for further expansion of the service’s capabilities.
