In “Oschadbank” reported that after an incident in Hungary, where bank employees were detained, the country returned seven collectors, but has not yet returned the seized collector cars and valuables, which, according to the institution, continue to be illegally held.
According to the bank, these are two collector cars and valuables totaling 40 million US dollars, 35 million euros, as well as 9 kilograms of bank gold. Oschadbank reported this in a statement published on its official Facebook page.
The bank said that they insist on the immediate return of the property and plan to defend their rights in connection with the incident in Hungary in two main directions.
The first direction is to appeal the decision to apply restrictive measures to the bank’s collectors. According to representatives of the institution, the Hungarian migration service unjustifiably imposed restrictions on them regarding their ability to stay in the European Union.
The second direction is legal actions aimed at returning the bank’s property, in particular, collection vehicles and valuables.
Oschadbank also announced its intention to separately consider the situation regarding the violation of the rights of the detained employees. The point is that they were held for more than 24 hours without access to legal assistance and without consular support.
The bank transferred all information about the circumstances of the incident to the National Bank of Ukraine. In addition, the institution plans to contact “one of the leading international companies” for further consideration of this issue.
“Oschadbank is absolutely confident in the legality of its actions,” the statement says.
The bank also recalled that the funds that were transported from Vienna to Ukraine are the property of Oschadbank. The transportation itself took place within the framework of an international agreement between the bank and Raiffeisen Bank Austria.
