Since the launch of the service “ Marriage online” in September 2024, 14,370 couples got married via video link in Ukraine, reported in the Ministry of Justice.
The number of such marriages is increasing every month: in August 2025, 2,043 couples used the service. The opportunity to get married online was used not only in Ukraine, but also abroad, and the service “ Marriage online” in “Dia” was recognized as one of the best inventions of 2024 by TIME.
The service can be used by adult citizens of Ukraine with a verified tax number and an ID card or foreign passport in “Dia”, who are not in another marriage or are divorced according to the State Register of Civil Status Acts of Citizens.
Let us remind you that on September 9, 2024, the online marriage service was launched in Ukraine through “Diya”, and the possibility of submitting an application for marriage registration online was introduced by the Ministry of Digital Transformation at the end of February 2023.
