Payments to displaced persons are under threat: the deputy voiced the condition
Internally displaced persons (IDPs) whose total income per family member exceeds 9,444 hryvnias per month may lose the right to receive state benefits. This was announced by People’s Deputy Mykhailo Tsimbalyuk, clarifying that these innovations will affect only those persons who apply for extension of payments.
According to the deputy, there is currently no mechanism to withdraw payments for those who already receive them. However, the situation may change if there are unreported changes in the financial status of the recipients.
“This applies only to those who will now apply for an extension of payments. Those who have received it, there is no mechanism to deprive them of it. There may be individual cases, if a person has not provided data that he has changed his place of work, receives a large salary, changed his place of residence , or number of family members”, – he explained.
Such cases may become a reason to review the right to receive public assistance, especially if these changes affect the overall level of family income.
As of September 1, payments for those immigrants who were already receiving them were extended for half a year in Ukraine. The Ministry of Social Policy emphasizes that the criteria for receiving these payments have not changed, but the control over compliance with the conditions may be strengthened.
