Pensions that have not been withdrawn from cards for over a year will no longer be stored at Oschadbank

Pensions of people who have not used their bank cards for more than a year will no longer be stored in Oschadbank, as it was before. From now on, these funds will be placed directly on accounts in the Pension Fund. About this reported Ministry of Social Policy.

This norm was introduced by the law “On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2025” in order to strengthen the financial stability of the pension system. The right to receive a pension remains entirely with persons who have not withdrawn funds for more than a year, or their legal heirs, if the pensioners are alive. Only the place of storage of the funds changes — they are transferred from the Savings Bank to the Pension Fund, where they will wait for the owners to apply.

This applies to pensioners who are or were previously internally displaced persons from the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions temporarily occupied until February 24, 2022, received a pension as an IDP before that date, did not use a card account for more than a year and did not undergo physical identification at Oschadbank within the specified six-month period.

We will remind that as of October 1, 2023, more than 10 billion hryvnias of pensions accrued to citizens from the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions have accumulated in Oschadbank. Previously, the bank used part of these funds as free resources for its own operations.
