Poland’s largest marketplace Allegro launches direct delivery of goods to Ukraine

The Polish marketplace Allegro is preparing for a phased entry into the Ukrainian market. According to data from the industry publication Wiadomosci Handlowe, the first stage of expansion should start in June.

Initially, Ukrainian users are planned to be able to buy goods from Polish Allegro sellers with delivery to Ukraine. Several hundred partners from Poland are to join the program at the start.

“We are observing a clear trend towards the growth of cross-border e-commerce and increased interest from foreign customers, in particular from Ukraine,” Allegro said.

The company reported on the preparation of a limited group of Polish partners for international export. This is about access to a market with about 11.5 million active e-commerce users.

According to the publication’s sources, Allegro may further develop the Allegro.ua domain and open a platform for sellers from Ukraine. Such an integration stage is possible as early as next year.

According to Wiadomosci Handlowe, parcels from Polish sellers will be delivered to customers in Ukraine via Nova Post. The Polish company plans to move gradually, testing demand and reducing the risks of international expansion.
