Police prevent murder of law enforcement officer ordered by Kyiv resident for $5,000 (video)
The police prevented the murder of a law enforcement officer, which was ordered by a resident of Kyiv. The woman appealed to the convicted criminals who are serving their sentences in Ladyzhinsk colony to find an executor. The order was valued at $5,000, as an advance, the woman sent the criminals 1,200 euros. About this informs press service of the National Police.
Operatives of the Department of Strategic Investigations in Vinnytsia Region and investigators of the Investigative Department of the Regional Police, while documenting the drug supply channel to one of the correctional colonies, received information about the preparation of the murder of an active police officer. Based on this fact, the police immediately started a pre-trial investigation.
The organizer of the crime turned out to be a resident of Kyiv who, on the basis of hostile relations, decided to take revenge on the policeman. Through a convicted acquaintance, the woman turned to the subjects of increased criminal influence, who were serving sentences together in the Ladyzhyn correctional colony. The criminals, 49 and 36 years old, agreed to carry out the “order”. Their services were valued at $5,000.
Later, the convicts found the perpetrator of the crime, who was given information about the policeman and instructed to collect information about his place of residence and travel routes. As a deposit, the woman transferred 1,200 euros to her accomplices.
On June 20, investigators of the Investigative Department together with the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the UVB, with the force support of special police units and “Zyklon” conducted searches of the places of residence and maintenance of the suspects. Therefore, the law enforcement officers seized mobile phones, bank cards, flash drives, computer equipment and draft records with the data of the policeman whom the suspects planned to kill.
On the same day, police investigators informed the customer and two convicted criminal authorities of suspicion under 1 Art. 14, p. p. 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. 2 Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (preparation for intentional murder, committed on the order and with the prior conspiracy of a group of persons). Currently, other persons who may be involved in committing illegal acts are being identified. The investigation is ongoing.
Measures to prevent the murder of a law enforcement officer were carried out under the procedural guidance of the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the operational support of the USR in the Vinnytsia Region, the DSR of the National People’s Republic of Ukraine, the State Security Bureau of the National Police, the department of operative and investigative work of the Central-Western Interregional Department for the Execution of Criminal Punishments of the Ministry of Justice, and the operative department of the “Ladyzhynska VC No. 39”.
