“This will allow forming a reserve of qualified specialists necessary for the front and medical support. We are also updating the list of higher education institutions that will provide training, and clarifying the professional standard, determining the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies of future reserve officers,” Svyrydenko noted.
The Prime Minister added that the training programs will be detailed and strengthened. Clear requirements are provided for the content of training, schedule and forms of training, and the amount of training time will increase by 20%.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed Law No. 13276, which introduces mandatory military training for students of medical and pharmaceutical specialties. The changes will come into force in 2026.
