Russia attacked Ukraine at night with 138 strike drones, most of which were neutralized by air defense forces, however, direct hits and destruction were recorded. As the Ukrainian Air Force reported, one of the most massive drone attacks in recent times lasted from 18:00 on January 25 and throughout the night of January 26. Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones were launched across the country, of which about 90 were Shaheds.
Ukrainian air defense shot down or suppressed 110 enemy drones. At the same time, 21 strike drones were recorded hitting 11 different locations, as well as falling debris in another area. The military stressed that the attack was ongoing, and enemy targets remained in the airspace.
During the night strike, the Air Force also announced the threat of ballistics and missile danger in the Mykolaiv region. As a result of the Russian attack, the city of Vilniansk in the Zaporizhia region was damaged – a fire broke out there and residential buildings were damaged.
In the Sumy community, according to the State Emergency Service, rescuers extinguished a fire in the residential sector caused by the strike on the evening of January 25. One of the private houses caught fire due to the hit, and five more homes were damaged. According to preliminary data, there are no injuries.
