On the night of September 16, Russia launched an attack on Ukraine, using ballistic missiles and drones. Explosions rang out in Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kyiv and Kyiv region, as well as in other regions. In Zaporizhzhia, as a result of an enemy attack, there is a dead and wounded, reports the head of the Zaporizhia OVA Ivan Fedorov.
“13 injured, including two children: victims of the night enemy attack on Zaporozhye continue to seek medical help. Affected children – 4 and 17 years old – are under medical supervision. Unfortunately, one person – 41-year-old man – died”, the message says.
The enemy struck the city with at least ten blows, as a result of which large-scale fires broke out: the fire engulfed three residential buildings with a total area of 350 square meters. m, two trucks in the parking lot and a maintenance station with an area of 600 square meters. m. 78 rescuers and 17 units of equipment were involved in liquidation of the consequences. All emergency services were on the scene. Data on the number of victims are being clarified.
On the night of September 16, Russia attacked Sumy with drones, as a result of which some subscribers in the Zarichny district were left without electricity. One of the city’s water intakes was also cut off. Another blow fell on the warehouse building, where the fire broke out, reported the head of the MBA Serhiy Kryvosheyenko.
The head of the Sumy regional military administration Oleg Hryhorov reported that two hits were recorded as a result of the night attack. Fortunately, they did not fall on the residential sector, so people were not injured.
Russian troops also struck Kiev with drones, explosions rang out in the city. The mayor of the capital, Vitaliy Klitschko, announced about the work of air defense forces at night. According to data of the DSNS, the parking lot of the shopping center caught fire as a result of the drone attack. The rescuers quickly started extinguishing the fire, but during the work, the Russians repeatedly hit the object, damaging two fire and rescue vehicles.
Other regions of Ukraine also came under enemy fire. Air defense forces operated in Odesa, Kherson, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions.
