Russia used drones with metal balls to strike Kharkiv (video)

As a result of the Russian attack on Kharkiv on January 25, carried out by attack drones, three people were injured. According to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, drones, previously of the “Molniya” type, which contain small metal balls that are dangerous for people in open areas, were used for the strikes. About this are reported in the Telegram of the regional prosecutor’s office.

According to the investigation, the attack lasted from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and covered three districts of Kharkiv. In the Kholodnohirsky district, a drone hit an infrastructure object, causing a fire. As a result, three workers experienced an acute reaction to stress: two women and a man. In the Shevchenkiv district, a drone struck a road near a hypermarket, as a result of which eight cars were damaged. In the Kyiv district, the facade and windows of a state-owned enterprise were damaged.

The spokesman of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, Dmytro Chubenko, said that small metal balls were found at the sites of the hits, which were part of the ammunition of the drones. Although these balls do not penetrate the metal doors of cars, they leave visible damage on the surfaces.

“The balls were found in the car panels. This highlights that these drones pose the greatest threat to people who are on the streets or in open spaces. Their impact power is not enough to penetrate the walls or roofs of buildings, but they are a danger to those in the open air “, – explained Chubenko.

Due to the threat posed by such attacks, residents of Kharkiv are advised to stay inside buildings and avoid open spaces during an air raid alert. Although drones are not capable of penetrating protected structures, their ammunition can cause serious injury to people on the streets.
