The defense operation in the village of Novovasylivka in Donetsk region has ended, as the settlement was captured by Russian troops. About this informs DeepState.
According to the project, after the capture of Novovasylivka, Russian forces continued their offensive on the neighboring village of Uspenivka. The 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade has been conducting defense in difficult conditions for more than a month, and for the last two weeks it has been operating in complete encirclement, restraining the advance of almost an entire enemy division.
To strengthen the attacks in this direction, the Russians involved a battalion of special forces and units of the GRU. The completion of each enemy unit reached 92%. For example, one of the regiments recovered its losses in Avdiivka in 10 days. Novovasylivka’s defense made it possible to buy time. Unfortunately, the Ukrainian Defense Forces suffered losses, but the losses of the Russian side are much greater.
