Russian Volgograd attacked by drones
On the night of June 19, Russia was attacked by drones, in particular, strikes were recorded in Volgograd. This was announced by the governor of the Volgograd region, Andriy Bocharov.
According to the governor, Russian forces allegedly repelled a massive drone attack in the Kalachiv and Horodyshchen districts, as well as in the southern part of Volgograd. At the same time, according to his statement, there were no damages or victims. As reported by Rosaviatsia, around 04:00 Kyiv time in Volgograd and Kaluga airports temporarily restricted flights.
In the morning, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced about 81 allegedly shot down or intercepted drones: 19 — over the Bryansk region, 17 — over the Kursk region, 13 — over the Smolensk region, seven — over the Volgograd region, six — over the Oryol region, five — over the Rostov region, five — over the temporarily occupied Crimea, three each — over the Belgorod and Astrakhan regions, two — over the Ryazan region, and one — over Moscow region.
It will be recalled that on June 15, Ukrainian forces struck one of the facilities for the production of attack drones in the territory of Russian Tatarstan. The target was production facilities in the city of Yelabuga — this facility belongs to the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation and is used to manufacture, test and launch kamikaze drones, which are later used for attacks on Ukrainian energy and civilian infrastructure.
