In Astrakhan, due to a drone strike, a gas processing plant stopped

The Astrakhan gas processing plant has suspended operations after a drone attack. The local authorities deny any environmental threats, rosZMI reports.
Previously, the arrival was one of the key combined units of the plant, which is responsible for the primary processing of stable gas condensate.
The governor of the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation, Ihor Babushkin, noted that the company received a warning in advance about the threat of a UAV attack, which made it possible to stop production processes and prevent the leakage of dangerous substances. He also dismissed reports of an environmental disaster, saying such claims were aimed at creating panic among local residents.
According to him, Rosprirodnadzor and the plant’s monitoring service regularly analyze the state of the air, and currently no exceedances of permissible standards have been recorded.
The Astrakhan gas processing plant, owned by Gazprom, is one of the largest gas and chemical complexes in the world. It has been operating since 1985, and its two production lines were commissioned in 1986 and 1997. The enterprise, which employs about 5,600 people, is key to the economy of the Astrakhan region and produces automobile gasoline, diesel fuel, technical sulfur and other products.
