SSO fighters knocked out the Russian DRG from Yampol in Donetsk region
In the village of Yampil in the north of the Donetsk region, the Ukrainian military conducted an operation and eliminated Russian subversive groups that were trying to gain a foothold in the village. This was reported by the command of the Special Operations Forces.
Yampil is located near the Slavic direction of the front. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 17 combat clashes took place here last day, including in the area of this settlement.
The SSO noted that Russian units were trying to set up a bridgehead for further assaults. Fighters of the 8th Special Forces Regiment of the SSO named after Prince Izyaslav Mstislavich acted against subversive groups of the Russian army.
“Special forces conducted a complex of special operations, identified and destroyed enemy groups, cleared the territory and prevented further enemy advance. As a result of the concerted actions of our soldiers, the enemy suffered losses and was pushed back from Yampol, reported the SSO command.
We will remind you that on October 3, the spokesman of the 11th Army Corps, Dmytro Zaporozhets, said that all the infantrymen of the Russian Federation who “ran in” to the village, were destroyed. On October 4, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that Ukrainian forces had stabilized the situation near Yampol.
