Students of this form of education ask Zelenskyi to provide them with armor against mobilization

A full-time student of a higher educational institution of Ukraine appealed to President Volodymyr Zelenskyi with a petition in which he asks for a postponement of mobilization for higher education students.

Author petitions  Oleksiy Mural asks the President to help students get an education during martial law.

“We would like to note that we agree with the need to mobilize Ukrainian society at all levels. Mr. President, among the full-time students of higher education institutions there are those who chose a new profession as a vocation already at a mature age and want to be useful in the future state and economy. Many of them invest their own funds in this education, without taking a penny from the state. But now the new law on mobilization unilaterally deprives them of the right to finish their education and in addition they lose their own funds”, – emphasizes the author of the petition.

He proposes to provide them with armor against mobilization under the following conditions:

  1. Successful studies (with a minimum score of 4)
  2. Active participation in university life (participation in scientific, social activities, etc.)
  3. Absence of violations of the internal regulations of the university.

Oleksiy Mural also suggests creating commissions at universities that would consider the issue of providing armor and make decisions based on clear criteria.

So far, 33 people have signed the petition.
