Syria plans to resume international flights at Damascus airport

The airport in the Syrian capital Damascus plans to resume international flights on January 7 after the change of the regime of President Bashar al-Assad. About this reported head of the civil aviation authority of Syria, Ashhad al-Salibi.
“We announce that we will start accepting international flights to and from Damascus International Airport on January 7”, says the message.

Earlier, Qatar Airways also announced the resumption of flights to Damascus. Three flights are planned for the next week. The company said in a statement that it is working with the relevant authorities to ensure all safety standards are met.
