TCC began to fine even those who have already updated their data: People’s Deputy

The parliamentarian came to the corresponding conclusion after citizens appealed to him.

Ukrainian territorial recruitment and social support centers (TCC and SP) began to fine a new category of citizens. This applies mainly to those who have already updated their military registration data. About this reported People’s Deputy Oleksandr Fedienko on August 1.

Active fines from TCC

According to the parliamentarian, he made this conclusion on the basis of appeals to him from three citizens who were fined by the military commissions:

  1. One of them was not registered with the TCC, but updated his data online. After contacting the TCC to clarify the data, he received a fine of UAH 17,000.
  2. Another lost his military ID, updated his data through “Rezerv+”, came to update them at the TCC and was fined UAH 17,000 due to the loss of his military ID.
  3. The third man had a certificate from the police about the theft of documents along with a military ticket. Thanks to the help of a lawyer, the military officers charged him not 17,000 hryvnias, but 5,100 hryvnias.

Fedienko noted that all fines were imposed in accordance with current legislation, so there are no questions for the heads of TCCs. However, in his opinion, in some cases it was possible to limit oneself to a warning.

Reaction to fines

The People’s Deputy emphasized the importance of a transparent and fair approach to the mobilization process. He called for a review of the practice of fines and a focus on supporting citizens who fulfill their obligations to update their military registration data.
