The budget of the Ministry of Digital Affairs for 2026 exceeds 10 billion hryvnias

The budget of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine for 2026 will amount to UAH 10.16 billion. This was announced by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov. According to him, the main expenditures will be directed to defense innovations, development of the “Diya” application, and anti-corruption projects. Almost 73% of the entire budget is planned to be allocated to the Brave1 grant program.

Fedorov noted that currently the key areas are missile production, the use of artificial intelligence, and scaling up the production of its own components and explosives. He emphasized:

“Now the focus is on missile production, artificial intelligence, scaling up the production of its own components and explosives. Brave1 has already become the largest angel investor and has issued over 700 grants for UAH 2.6 billion. Thanks to this, all types of weapons are already being developed in Ukraine – from dozens of types of UAVs to missiles. Next year, it is important to accelerate the cycle of developing modern solutions that will provide a technological advantage over the enemy.

According to the minister, other funds will go to further digitalization of state services and development of “Diya”, as well as to public investment projects – the creation, modernization and protection of state registers and information systems.

A separate item in the plans for 2026 is the launch of an online gambling business monitoring system. Fedorov called this a critically important anti-corruption step and assured:

“This is an important anti-corruption project. The launch of the system will significantly increase budget revenues and transform the gambling business into a transparent and accountable industry that works to strengthen the state’s economy.

Recall that on December 3, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the draft law “On the State Budget for 2026” in its entirety. The government project provides for revenues of UAH 2.92 trillion and expenditures of UAH 4.78 trillion.
