The Cabinet of Ministers announced the composition of experts for the NABU audit
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) is preparing for the first independent audit, and the names of the experts who will be part of the commission for evaluating the activity of the anti-corruption body are already known. This was reported in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in response to a request UNN.
The commission, which will consist of three people, was chosen on the basis of proposals from international and foreign organizations. It will include Arpo Martin, Westbrooks Robert and Cronje Hermione Teresa, who are to conduct an external independent assessment of the effectiveness of NABU.
The Cabinet emphasized that the members of the commission will work independently, without the influence of any external instructions or instructions. They will also develop and publish audit criteria and methodology.
It should be noted that in accordance with the legislation, the first independent audit of NABU activities must be conducted one year after the appointment of the director of the bureau. However, the current director of NABU, Semyon Krivonos, has held this position since March 6, 2023, that is, almost a year and a half already.
Semyon Krivonos recently said that he is looking forward to the start of the audit, as he believes that it will reveal both the strengths and weaknesses of the bureau’s work.
