The Cabinet of Ministers has amended the procedure for mobilization
The Cabinet of Ministers approved changes to the Procedure for the draft of citizens for military service in the conditions of mobilization during a special period. The corresponding decision was made at a meeting of the government, reported representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.
From now on, the fact of serving a summons on a paper form will be recorded in the Unified State Register of conscripts, conscripts and reservists. Such changes were made to the updated procedure for maintaining the register.
In addition, the following were specified:
- deadlines for submission of documents for deferment of mobilization for certain categories of conscripts and reservists;
- clearly defined circumstances under which a citizen is not subject to referral for a medical examination to determine fitness for service;
- the conditions under which persons who have not passed a medical examination or whose previous opinion on fitness has expired may be referred to undergo a military medical commission.
Also, the procedure is supplemented with a provision on the possibility of forming a referral for a medical examination in electronic form through the Unified Register. The list of documents confirming the right to deferment has also been updated – in particular, for those who have three or more dependent children under the age of 18. As Taras Melnychuk noted, the purpose of the changes is to streamline accounting and increase the efficiency of mobilization procedures.
