The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to dismiss five deputy ministers of defense
The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a decision to dismiss five deputy ministers of defense at once. Hanna Gvozdiar, Volodymyr Zaverukha, Anatoliy Klochko, Oleksandr Kozenko, and Mykola Shevtsov left their positions.
The corresponding decisions were adopted and formalized by government orders No. 46–50. The dismissal was carried out on the basis of paragraph four of part two of Article 9 of the “Law of Ukraine “On Central Executive Bodies””.
After the personnel changes, the First Deputy Minister of Defense Ivan Havrylyuk remains, as well as deputies Yevhen Moysiuk, Yuriy Myronenko, Serhiy Boev and Oksana Ferchuk.
The personnel decisions are taking place against the backdrop of recent changes in the leadership of the defense department. On January 14, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Mykhailo Fedorov as Minister of Defense. On January 20, the government approved Ivan Turchak as State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense, replacing Maksym Malashkin. In addition, Anatoliy Kutsevol resigned from the post of Deputy Minister of Defense for European Integration at his own request.
