The Cabinet of Ministers has expanded the list of recipients of compensation for demining agricultural land

The Cabinet of Ministers has expanded the circle of recipients of compensation for the costs of humanitarian demining of agricultural lands. This was reported by the representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.

Changes have been made to the procedure for using budget funds, which are provided for reimbursement of costs for humanitarian demining of agricultural lands. Now natural persons have the right to receive such compensation – in particular, households, persons who run personal peasant farms, as well as self-employed in agriculture without the formation of a legal entity – on the condition that they carry out agricultural activities on land plots they own or use.

Also approved is the procedure and mechanism for issuing compensation for individuals engaged in agricultural activities. In 2025, UAH 2.5 billion is provided for the demining program in the state budget; effective use of these funds is one of the indicators of the international aid program Ukraine Facility.

The program allows farmers who plan to demine land to receive 100% reimbursement of the cost of humanitarian demining. Compensation in the amount of 80% of costs is provided for those who demined areas between February 24, 2022 and April 15, 2024. To join the program, it is necessary to submit an application through the State Agrarian Register (DAR).
