The Cabinet of Ministers makes changes to the social program “Warm Winter”

The government is making changes to the “Warm Winter” program so that families who were not included in the list of aid recipients last year due to technical reasons can now receive it. About this reported Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
“The government is improving another important social program – “Warm Winter”. These are payments for each child from low-income families and from IDP families. In December 2024, we helped almost 600,000 Ukrainians under this program. UAH 6,500 was paid for each child.
Now we are making changes so that families that were not included in the list of recipients last year due to technical reasons will now receive assistance. They will be able to spend these funds on the most urgent needs, in particular, on warm things for children.” Shmyhal noted.
Last year, a payment of UAH 6,500 was made to:
- low-income families with children who receive state social assistance;
- families of internally displaced persons (IDPs) with children who receive housing assistance;
- persons with disabilities of the I group among IDPs.
The appointment of payment was made automatically.
