The government is simplifying the procedure for obtaining state support for families with children and future parents. Now payments can be credited to a special account “Diya.Kartki”. The list of categories for which funds can be spent will also be expanded, and the period of their use will no longer be limited. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
According to her, all accruals will be deposited into a single account for various types of targeted assistance. These include compensation for the “Baby Package”, assistance for caring for a child up to one year old, “e-Nursery” and “Schoolchild Package”.
A special account “Diya.Kartka” can be opened even before submitting an application in the application of the selected bank. Svyridenko explained that after submitting an application for childcare assistance for a child under one year old or for an “e-Nursery” at the Central Social Assistance Center, territorial community or Pension Fund body, the Unified Information System of the Social Sphere of the Ministry of Social Policy will automatically pull up the already opened special account in a few seconds.
If a person has not opened a special account in advance, when submitting an application, the Unified System will generate a QR code. It will allow you to proceed to opening a “Diya.Kartka” account, complete the application and receive payment faster.
Svyrydenko noted that those who want to receive funds not to a special account of “Diya.Kartka”, but through Oschadbank, will be able to open an account after contacting the Central Savings Bank, territorial community or Pension Fund body according to the current mechanism.
“The possibility of opening a special account of “Diya.Kartka” will be announced in the near future. Accounts opened since January 1, 2026 remain valid, and funds will continue to be deposited in them,” the Prime Minister added.
It was previously reported that since the beginning of 2026, almost 170 thousand Ukrainian families have already taken advantage of the updated state support system. The payments relate to the period of pregnancy, childbirth and care for the child after the parents return to work.
