National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service (NADS) reported, that in the fourth quarter of 2024, the actual number of working civil servants was 156,276, while the staff list provided for 192,172 positions.
NADS noted a number of changes in the quantitative composition of civil servants during this period, in particular, a significant increase in the number of reduced positions — in the fourth quarter, this indicator reached 4,524, while in the previous quarter it was 1,942.
At the same time, the number of civil service vacancies decreased by 2,131, which is more than the reduction in the third quarter, when this figure was 1,547.
“We note the strengthening of the tendency to reduce the number of working civil servants. In the fourth quarter, they decreased by 1,443 people. On the other hand, according to the results of the KSDS study, in the third quarter of 2024 there were only 372 less of them.” – the message says.
There is also a tendency to reduce the number of men in the civil service — in the fourth quarter, there were 639 fewer of them, which is almost 2% of the total number of civil servants, while in the previous quarter this indicator decreased by 413 people.
