The defendants in the corruption case in the SBU and the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are being remanded in custody with a bail of $320,000
The Prosecutor of the Prosecutor General’s Office will apply to the High Anti-Corruption Court with a request to elect a preventive measure for the head of the SBU department in Zhytomyr region, Volodymyr Kompanichenko, and the commander of logistics of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Andriy Ukrainets. This is about detention with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of $ 320 thousand in hryvnia equivalent for each.
“The prosecutor will request the selection of a preventive measure for the suspects in the form of detention with the alternative of posting bail in the amount of $ 320 thousand in hryvnia equivalent for each”, — said the spokeswoman for the Prosecutor General’s Office, Mariana Hajovska-Kovbasyuk.
The press service of the High Anti-Corruption Court reported that the consideration of the relevant petitions is scheduled for February 27. The meeting regarding the head of the regional SBU department is scheduled to begin at 12:00, and regarding the commander of the Air Force logistics — at 14:00.
On February 25, law enforcement officers reported the exposure of Andriy Ukrainets and Volodymyr Kompanichenko in the case of receiving illegal benefits.
