In Ukraine, the “Drone Line” project was launched, which aims to develop the most effective units of unmanned systems and spread their combat experience in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. About this reported Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
“The project envisages the creation of a network of specialized units that will receive modern equipment, the necessary resources and specialists. Both military personnel and civilian specialists can join.” – the message says.
Defense Minister Rustem Umyerov noted that the “Drone Line” provides for the creation of a “killzone” of 10-15 km, which makes it impossible for the enemy to advance without losses, providing the infantry with air support and cover. Leading UAV units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine joined the initiative: Rarog, K-2, Fenix, Achilles, and Birds of Magyar.
The project has already received additional funding from the Ministry of Defense in the amount of 4.6 billion hryvnias, which will be directed directly to the units – the purchase of drones, means of radio-electronic warfare, transport and everything necessary for the performance of combat missions.
