The evader from Odesa will receive three years in prison

While there are active public discussions about the mobilization of prisoners, those who evade the draft may end up in prison. This week, the court decided to imprison a resident of Odesa.

The man received a summons, but twice during the set period he refused to appear at the territorial recruitment center. Now, most likely, he will have to spend three years behind bars. The Kyiv District Court of Odesa made the relevant decision. This is the minimum punishment under Article 336 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The Odesa resident explained his refusal to appear before the TCC as his unwillingness to fight. He also said that he is currently financially supporting his sister, who is raising three children on her own.

However, the defendant still has 30 days to file an appeal against the court’s decision.

Recently, the decision of one year imprisonment for a resident of Poltava region, who evaded mobilization, was made by the Velikobagachan district court of Poltava region.
