The fastest knockout in boxing history took place in Santo Domingo: only two seconds were enough

In the capital of the Dominican Republic, Santo Domingo, a fight in the second middleweight division between Brandon Jean-Jean-Louis and Dalvinson Tejeda took place, which ended in an instant knockout.

As soon as the gong sounded, Jean-Louis rushed forward and jumped with a left hook, which hit exactly. Tejeda fell to the floor and showed no signs of consciousness, after which the referee stopped the fight. The boxer was carried out of the ring on a stretcher.

Promoters said Tejeda was hospitalized but later released without serious injuries.

The official time of the knockout has yet to be confirmed, but if the two-second finish is recorded, it could be the fastest knockout in professional boxing history.

The record is already in dispute, as in 2007 Phil Williams knocked out Brandon Burke in ten seconds, and in 1997 Jimmy Thunder sent Crawford Grimsley to the canvas in less than two seconds, but the official time of the fight was 13 seconds.
