The Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns Ukrainians against traveling to Syria
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine urged citizens to refrain from traveling to Syria due to the danger caused by the fighting between the rebels and the regime of Bashar al-Assad. There was a corresponding recommendation made public the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The message states that due to the worsening of the situation in Syria, the Embassy of Ukraine in Lebanon strongly advises Ukrainians to refrain from traveling to this country until the situation stabilizes. Those still in Syria are advised to leave the country.
For those who decide to stay, diplomats emphasize the need to observe safety measures: avoid places of mass gathering, do not participate in actions or demonstrations, follow local rules, do not leave your place of residence without an urgent need and always have documents with you. Citizens are also advised to consider shortening their stay in Syria.
